Notes on the Show
The Playhouse Jr. Children's Theater was combined theater and education for children. Playhouse Jr's mission was to make art and theater affordable to children of all ages and for the productions to be more accessible to children who are physically and intellectually disabled. The study guides for this production was produced with the help of The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the Education Department of Point Park College; these study guides would prepare the child for the production itself, focusing on the characters, important themes, history of the play, and etiquette. The workbooks for this production and the would have likely been distributed to classrooms around in Pittsburgh and attendees of the Shop 'n Save store ahead of time.
