Show Summary

"La Cage Aux Folles" is a 1983 musical based on the play of the same name. It's notable for being the first musical with a plot that focuses primarily on a gay relationship. Georges, is the owner of the St. Tropez drag nightclub, while his partner, Albin, is the star drag performer at the club. When their son, Jean-Michel, becomes engaged to Anne, a girl from a politically conservative family, the two must navigate how to alter the appearence of their lifestyle to accomodate their son's newfound love.

Notes on the Show

The performers for Point Park's production of "La Cage" took part in a cabaret that took place on November 11th 1991 at Metropol in the Strip District. Profits from that show were donated Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force.
