Notes on the Show

In 1990, the risk of early pregnancy loss, or miscarriages, 17.8% (add a superscript and a note on the website). There is a stigma surrounding miscarriages. Shame, guilt, and anger gets directed towards mothers, by medical professionals, peers, and/or themselves even though miscarriages, in most cases, can not be prevented. The stigma behind pregnancy loss in 1993 was high? and a lot of mothers were left to their own to deal with the loss of their child. Nowadays, it is not uncommon to prepare mothers for an unexpected loss and to provide women with resources and counseling services to assist and guide women in times of need.
